Teriyaki Chicken Wrap (Asian Wrap) - Oriental Good Luck Feature

Ingredients
  

Pre-Prep:
  • SeasonMeat with Chief Meat Marinade
For the Chicken:
  • 2 boneless,skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Chief Teriyaki Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chief Garlic Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey (optional,for added sweetness)
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • ChiefSalt and Black pepper to taste
For the Wrap:
  • 4  whole wheat tortillas or wraps
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cucumber, julienned
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Chili Sauce (optional, for extra flavour)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Method
 

Marinate the Chicken:
  1. In a bowl, combine Chief Meat Marinade Chief Teriyaki Sauce, Chief Garlic Soy Sauce, olive oil, honey (if using), minced garlic, and ginger. Mix well.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours for more flavour).
Cook the Chicken:
  1. Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and caramelized.
  3. Once done, let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.
Assemble the Wraps:
  1. Lay out each tortilla on a flat surface.
  2. Place a generous amount of shredded lettuce in the centre, followed by shredded carrots, red cabbage, cucumber, and cilantro.
  3. Top with slices of the teriyaki chicken.
  4. Drizzle with Sweet Chili Sauce if desired, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Wrap it Up:
  1. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Secure with a toothpick if necessary.
  2. Cut the wrap in half for easy eating.
Serve and Enjoy:
  1. Serve immediately or wrap in foil for a perfect on-the-go meal. Pair with a light salad or a bowl of miso soup for a complete meal.
