Chief Brand Chicken Gyro

  • Roasting Pan


  • 5 lbs Chicken Breast (This can also be done with lamb and beef steaks)
  • 1 tbsp Chief Brand Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Chief Brand Black Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Vegetable Oil
  • 3 tbsp Chief Brand Gyro Spice Mix
  • 12 each Gryo Flat Breads
  • 2 Large Tomatoes, sliced
  • Handful Local Lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Garlic Mayonnaise


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a roasting pan with aluminum foil.
  • Season chicken breast with salt and black pepper, ensuring to rub liberally all over the surface area of the meat.
  • In a small bowl, combine the Vegetable oil and Gyro Spice blend and mix well.
  • Place chicken breast on a rack in the prepared roasting pan.
  • Generously rub the gyro spice marinade all over the chicken breast.
  • Place into oven and roast until it reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • When chicken is cooked, remove from the oven, and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
  • To prepare Gyros, take flat breads and warm gently on a tawa or microwave.
  • Slice a few pieces of chicken and place on the flat bread followed by sliced tomatoes, some lettuce and lastly drizzle with garlic sauce to your preference.
  • Gently roll the gyro bread enveloping all the ingredients to form a tight long log.
  • Wrap Gyro in parchment paper to help secure it and keep shape by tightening the ends of the paper.
  • With a serrated knife, slice the wrapped gyro in half, and place on your plate.
  • Serve gyro immediately and enjoy.
